Bury St. Edmunds is the jewel in Suffolk’s crown, built on a mediaeval grid pattern, with a central thriving market square. Within the town is the Cathedral Church with it’s impressive Millennium Tower overlooking the Abbey Gardens. Images are by local photographer Christiaan Partridge and include views of the surrounding Suffolk countryside
A photographer of only 10 years, developing a passion for local wild flower and coastal photography, having started out in landscape photography. Having developed an eye for the smaller subject, initial publications included calendars of wild flower images.
Originating from Suffolk, leaving briefly to study at the University of Dundee, before moving to the village of Mellis in North Suffolk, to enjoy the wildlife on the doorstep.
Since then, the repertoire has expanded, through completing a Diploma in Professional Photography and currently studying for an HND Level 5 in Photography. Now included are portrait, studio, sports, vintage aircraft and unique style of street photography. This has been further boosted by positive feedback received from Magnum Photography Agency in a LensCulture Street Photography competition in April 2019.
Also boosting his career is having held a commercial drone licence with the Civil Aviation Authority since August 2018, adding aerial photography as another skill.
Still working in his original career as a Doctor, time is set aside for photography as well as sporting hobbies of football and cricket.
Publications include Bury St. Edmunds Calendars since 2017, and the internationally available calendar Suffolk Flora: An Individual Perspective.
